A wooden crate filled with kiln dried oak logs.

Crate of Kiln Dried Oak Logs - Medium Crate

£284.99

Experience the warmth of our kiln dried oak logs. Seasoned to perfection for a clean, long-lasting fire. Low moisture content ensures easy lighting and efficient burning. Order online for convenient delivery.

Our Woodsure Ready to Burn kiln dried Oak logs have a moisture content of 20% or less. These logs have been hand stacked into wooden crates, leaving very few air gaps and therefore giving you more wood than you would get within a bag or tote bag. We estimate that one of these crates is equivalent to 1.676 cubic metres of loose filled wood, or around the equivalent of at least 2.8 standard tote bags.

The kiln dried crates contain only Oak logs. No mixing has taken place with other hardwoods. Oak is a very dense hardwood and gives a much longer burn time that other types of firewood.

The main advantage of kiln dried logs is that they are ready to burn at any time of year. They don't need to be seasoned before they can be used. Kiln Dried Logs burn hotter and for longer than any other wood rival. By thoroughly drying through a purpose built kiln this wood achieves very low moisture content which in turn produces a higher heat for a longer time. The result for you is a stunning wood fuel which gives you great value for money through higher levels of efficiency.

Prior to being dispatched the crate has a shower-proof cover placed over the top of the crate and is then shrink wrapped to prevent the logs from getting wet.

No, you can check out as a guest. However, creating an account allows you to view your order history and makes re-ordering faster next winter.

How do I know which day my order will be delivered?

When you place an order with us, you choose your delivery day before you checkout.

Please ensure the phone number on your order is correct, as the delivery driver may need to contact you if they have trouble locating your property.

Can I collect my order?

Absolutely. You are welcome to collect directly from our depot. Please call or email us beforehand to ensure your stock is ready for you.

Delivery & Packaging

What is "Kerbside Delivery"?

All palletised deliveries are strictly kerbside. This means the driver will leave the pallet at the nearest safe accessible point, such as your kerb or driveway entrance. While drivers will help where safe and practical, they cannot move pallets over uneven ground, gravel, grass, or steep slopes due to safety and insurance reasons.

How long will my delivery take?

Our standard Economy delivery typically takes up to 72 hours from the day your order is dispatched.

Do I need to be home to sign for the delivery?

It is recommended that you inspect the pallet upon arrival. However, you can arrange a "Leave Safe" delivery where a signature is not required. Please note that if you choose this option, Dawsons Fuels is not liable for the condition of the pallet or its final location once delivered.

I live locally (Cumbria/Lancashire/Yorkshire). Is the delivery different?

Yes. For customers in South Cumbria, North Lancashire, and North Yorkshire (e.g., CA10, CA11, CA16, CA17, DL8, DL11, LA1, LA2, LA5, LA6, LA7, LA8, LA9, LA10, LA11, LA12, LA21, LA22, LA23 postcodes), Dawsons Fuels uses their own vehicles and drivers. This often allows for a more flexible and personalized service.

How will my order be packaged?

To protect the products from the weather during transit, a pallet cover is placed over the top, and the entire pallet or crate is shrink-wrapped.

How will my order be delivered?

Palletised orders are delivered using a large 18-tonne vehicle (similar in size to a bin lorry) equipped with a tail lift. The driver will lower the pallet to the ground and use a manual pump truck to move it. For more information, click here.

Can the order be left outside?

Yes, the pallet arrives shrink-wrapped with a shower-proof cover, so it can withstand some weather. However, for the best performance, it is recommended to move the fuel to a dry storage area.

Can I choose a specific delivery time?

Standard deliveries are made between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. If you need a specific slot, you can select a Morning or Afternoon delivery for a small surcharge at checkout. Saturday deliveries are also available (booked by phone) for an additional fee (minimum £60).
