Glo Therm Smokeless Fuel – 25 × 20kg Bags (500kg Pallet)

£329.99

Glo Therm is a popular smokeless fuel (smokeless coal) supplied as consistent-sized ovoids that burn with strong, steady heat. This 25 × 20kg pallet (total 500kg) is an ideal “stock-up” size for regular stove and open-fire users who want reliable performance without committing to a full-tonnage order.

Specs at a glance

  • Pack size: 25 × 20kg pre-packed bags (500kg total)
  • Fuel type: Glo Therm smokeless ovoids (consistent size)
  • Ready to Burn: MSF0255
  • Approval: HETAS approved solid fuel
  • Appliances: Suitable for multi-fuel stoves and open fires
  • Burn characteristics: Excellent heat output; burns down to a fine ash
  • Emissions profile: <2% sulphur; <5g/hour average smoke emission

Why choose Glo Therm smokeless fuel?

  • Hot, dependable heat: A strong performer for everyday home heating.
  • Clean handling and consistent burn: Uniform ovoids help deliver a predictable fire once established.
  • Low-smoke, manufactured solid fuel: Designed to burn cleaner than traditional house coal while still giving excellent warmth.
  • Great “middle ground” pallet size: 500kg total fuel in manageable 20kg bags.

How to use (quick start)

  1. Start with airflow: Smokeless fuels prefer air from underneath. Empty the ash pan and open primary air.
  2. Build a hot base: Use firelighters and dry kindling to create a strong bed of embers.
  3. Add fuel gradually: Place a single layer of ovoids first. Once glowing, add more to reach your desired heat.
  4. Control the burn: Open vents briefly after refuelling, then reduce to maintain steady heat.

Delivery & access (please read)

This product is delivered as a palletised order. Most UK mainland postcodes can choose a delivery date at checkout. All pallet deliveries are kerbside / nearest safe access point.

  • Surface requirements: firm and level ground is required for a pallet truck (not suitable on steep slopes, grass, soft ground, or loose gravel).
  • Vehicle access: deliveries are typically made on larger vehicles; if your access is restricted, a smaller vehicle may be possible for pallets up to 750kg (availability varies).
  • Tracking: dispatch and tracking updates are emailed once your order leaves us.

How do I know which day my order will be delivered?

When you place an order with us, you choose your delivery day before you checkout.

Please ensure the phone number on your order is correct, as the delivery driver may need to contact you if they have trouble locating your property.

Delivery & Packaging

What is "Kerbside Delivery"?

All palletised deliveries are strictly kerbside. This means the driver will leave the pallet at the nearest safe accessible point, such as your kerb or driveway entrance. While drivers will help where safe and practical, they cannot move pallets over uneven ground, gravel, grass, or steep slopes due to safety and insurance reasons.

How long will my delivery take?

Our standard Economy delivery typically takes up to 72 hours from the day your order is dispatched.

Do I need to be home to sign for the delivery?

It is recommended that you inspect the pallet upon arrival. However, you can arrange a "Leave Safe" delivery where a signature is not required. Please note that if you choose this option, Dawsons Fuels is not liable for the condition of the pallet or its final location once delivered.

I live locally (Cumbria/Lancashire/Yorkshire). Is the delivery different?

Yes. For customers in South Cumbria, North Lancashire, and North Yorkshire (e.g., CA10, CA11, CA16, CA17, DL8, DL11, LA1, LA2, LA5, LA6, LA7, LA8, LA9, LA10, LA11, LA12, LA21, LA22, LA23 postcodes), Dawsons Fuels uses their own vehicles and drivers. This often allows for a more flexible and personalized service.

How will my order be packaged?

To protect the products from the weather during transit, a pallet cover is placed over the top, and the entire pallet or crate is shrink-wrapped.

How will my order be delivered?

Palletised orders are delivered using a large 18-tonne vehicle (similar in size to a bin lorry) equipped with a tail lift. The driver will lower the pallet to the ground and use a manual pump truck to move it. For more information, click here.

Can the order be left outside?

Yes, the pallet arrives shrink-wrapped with a shower-proof cover, so it can withstand some weather. However, for the best performance, it is recommended to move the fuel to a dry storage area.

Can I choose a specific delivery time?

Standard deliveries are made between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. If you need a specific slot, you can select a Morning or Afternoon delivery for a small surcharge at checkout. Saturday deliveries are also available (booked by phone) for an additional fee (minimum £60).
