FAQs

Are these fuels Ready to Burn / low moisture?

Yes. Our parcel fuels are supplied dry and suitable for efficient burning. Kiln-dried logs are typically under 20% moisture (Ready to Burn), and manufactured heat logs are produced with very low moisture by design. Dry fuel lights more easily, burns hotter, and produces less smoke than wet fuel.

What’s the difference between kiln-dried logs and heat logs?

  • Kiln-dried logs are natural firewood (cut and dried) and give a lively flame and a “real log fire” feel.
  • Heat logs / fuel logs are manufactured from compressed wood material for consistent, predictable heat and often a longer, steadier burn.

Many customers use logs for flame and ambience, then add a heat log for longer heat cycles.

Will these fit my stove / appliance?

Most parcel fuels are sized to suit common wood burners and multi-fuel stoves. Because fireboxes vary, we recommend checking your stove’s usable depth and loading style. Heat logs are usually added one at a time (or gradually), which makes them easy to use in smaller stoves too.

How do I use these fuels for best results?

Start with dry kindling and a natural firelighter, then add fuel once the firebox is hot.

  • For kiln-dried logs: add 1–2 logs at a time and adjust airflow for steady heat.
  • For heat logs: start small (often one at a time) until you learn how your appliance responds, as they can burn very hot in controlled stoves.

Always follow your appliance manufacturer guidance and don’t overload.

How should I store the fuel after delivery?

Keep fuel dry and ventilated. Store under cover (shed/garage/log store) and protect from rain or damp air. For heat logs, moisture exposure can reduce performance quickly, so keep them sealed or in a dry container once opened.

How is parcel delivery different from pallet delivery?

These items are sent via parcel courier (not on a pallet). Tracking is usually provided on dispatch. Checkout sometimes asks you to select a delivery date — for parcel items, courier delivery may not follow that selected date exactly.
